West Ham vs Hull City live: West Ham trio test positive for Covid-19 ahead of Carabao Cup tie

The Hammers take on the Tigers in round three of the League Cup

Good evening and welcome along to live coverage of West Ham’s third round Carabao Cup tie against Hull City at London Stadium.

It’s a second game in a row in the competition where the Hammers host a League One side, having beat Charlton Athletic in round two to set up the tie against the Tigers.

Grant McCann’s side sprung a shock in the second round by beating Leeds United on penalties having held them to a 1-1 scoreline over 90 minutes to progress through to this stage.

David Moyes is expected to make plenty of changes to his Hammers side. He made ten for the victory over the Addicks this time last week and a similar number could be on the cards once again.

Fringe first team players in Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini, Sebastien Haller and Andriy Yarmolenko should get a run out. Midfielder Jack Wilshere, who missed out against Charlton, is also in contention for his first appearance of the season.

Darren Randolph is likely to start in goal once again as Lukasz Fabianski is rested.

The Carabao Cup provides a welcome distraction from the Premier League for the Hammers having lost both of their first two games in the top flight, Newcastle and Arsenal both taking three points off Moyes’ men.

Team news for the game will arrive at 6.30pm but we will have plenty of build up and opinion before the game kicks off at 7.30pm this evening in Stratford.
