Tom Hardy odds-on to be James Bond say bookies
Tom Hardy is odds-on to be the new James Bond, according to the latest bookmaker updates.
Ladbrokes have slashed odds in the Venom actor’s favour – from 8/1 to 4/5 over the past 24 hours – after bets intensified.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes commented: ‘A flurry of bets over the past 24 hours suggests the cat is out the bag and it’s Tom Hardy that’ll soon be replacing Daniel Craig as 007.’
Craig has held the role of Bond since Casino Royale in 2006. His final outing will be the upcoming No Time To Die.
Hardy is known for his roles in Bronson, The Dark Knight Rises and Mad Max: Fury Road.
Coral’s David Stevens added: ‘The betting on who will play James Bond is always popular with our punters, with James Norton and Sam Heughan the two most recent favourites, but Tom Hardy has always been close to the head of the betting, and indeed was as short as 6-4 favourite last year, so if he has indeed landed the coveted role, the bookies will have been left shaken if not stirred.’More: Tom Hardy
Coral also shared other actors and their current Bond-related betting odds: 6-4 James Norton, 2-1 Sam Heughan, 5-1 Tom Hiddleston, 6-1 Richard Madden, 8-1 Tom Hardy, Jack Lowden, Michael Fassbender, 10-1 Idris Elba, Jamie Bell, 12-1 Aidan Turner, Cillian Murphy, Henry Cavill, 20-1.
The anticipation is painful! Here’s hoping we get a confirmation very soon…
