'Disaster' - Liverpool fans notice what happened to Gini Wijnaldum for PSG

Georginio Wijnaldum admitted he was not 'completely happy' with his game time at PSG and again started on the bench on Friday

Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 clash with Angers on Friday evening did nothing to relieve Gini Wijnaldum's unhappiness in the French capital after the former Liverpool man again found himself on the bench.

Earlier this week, Wijnaldum admitted he is not “completely happy” with his current situation just a few months after leaving Anfield for the French giants.

The Dutchman joined PSG on a free transfer following five years with Liverpool where he was a key player in midfield.

Wijnaldum has featured 11 times for Mauricio Pochettino’s side so far this season but has only registered 502 minutes on the pitch.

The Dutchman was a doubt for the game, according to reports in France, but was deemed fit enough to be named as a substitute.

PSG’s Argentine trio Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes as well as Brazil’s Neymar were unavailable due to being on international duty but Wijnaldum still didn’t make the starting XI.

Instead, Ander Herrera, Danilo Pereira and Marco Verratti were preferred.

Liverpool supporters took to social media to react to Wijnaldum’s lack of game time and said:

Speaking to NOS, Wijnaldum had said: "I can't say I'm completely happy. Because the situation is not what I wanted.

"But that's football and I'll have to learn to deal with that. I'm a fighter. I have to stay positive and work hard to turn it around."

On Friday, the 30-year-old was eventually introduced on 63 minutes and six minutes later, PSG equalised through Pereira to make the score 1-1.
