Paulo Dybala has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea lately, and his appearance at Silverstone has only fuelled speculation

Paulo Dybala remained coy when he a fan asked if he'll be joining Chelsea. The 29-year-old forward has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge recently, with Mauricio Pochettino eager to further bolster his attacking options this summer.

Speculation of a move to west London has ramped up this weekend following his attendance at the British Grand Prix. On Friday, the Argentina international was at Wimbledon with his long-term partner Oriana Sabatini.

A day later, Dybala was pictured with Max Verstappen at Silverstone after the Red Bull driver secured pole position in qualifying. Then, on Sunday, the Roma star was snapped at the British Grand Prix once more for race day – and one wishful Chelsea supporter approached him for a selfie.

Or that's what Dybala thought! A Blues fan began recording a video on his phone and he lined up to take a picture. But, as the Argentine entered the frame, he was asked: "You coming to Chelsea?"

Dybala smiled and walked away, with somebody in the background laughing at the encounter. According to Italian journalist Matteo De Santis, as quoted by RomaPress, Chelsea are considering a move for the forward after he was specifically requested by Pochettino.

Despite his mere €12million (£10.3million) release clause, the report states that Roma aren't concerned by the Blues' interest and they're confident that they can keep him on board for next term. According to Calciomercato, Dybala is willing to snub interest from the Premier League and pen a new deal with Jose Mourinho's side.

The report states that the Italian outfit are planning to significantly increase his base salary to €6million (£5.1million) per season, with €2million (£1.7million) in add-ons. It's said that Roma would also like to remove his release clause, which is €12milllion (£10.3million) for foreign clubs and €20million (£17million) for Italian sides.

Calciomercato add that the Giallorossi owner, Dan Friedkin, would be happy to offer Dybala an extension after shirts with his name and number on have already sold out. That's no surprise seeing as the Argentine seems to already be a fan favourite among Chelsea supporters too!
