Paris Saint-Germain travel to Israel to face Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League, as they look to build on their opening Group H win over Juventus last week.

PSG have also made a strong start to their domestic season, topping Ligue 1 with six wins from their opening seven games.

Both Neymar and Mbappe have begun the new campaign in electric form, having netted 17 goals between them already. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has found his feet after a difficult first year in Paris, managing ten goal contributions in eight appearances thus far.

Christophe Galtier’s attention will be on Europe’s top prize this season, with this game in Haifa the next step as the French side look to claim their first triumph in this competition.

As for Maccabi Haifa, they approach this match in fine form, having won their opening four league fixtures, sitting top of the Israeli Premier League.

However, the Israeli side lost their opening Champions League fixture last week against Benfica in Lisbon, and face an uphill battle to qualify for the Knockout stages.

Maccabi Haifa Team News

Maccabi Haifa will be without midfielder Ali Mohamed, who sustained an injury against Benfica after just 32 minutes, which sidelined him for the weekend’s victory over Sekzia Ness Ziona.

Mahmoud Jaber will also be absent from the Israeli side’s midfield as he recovers from a fractured femur, meaning Mohamed Abu Fani will likely start.

Forward Suf Podgoreanu managed just 11 minutes in Lisbon before suffering an achilles issue, so he will miss the visit of Messi, Neymar and co.

PSG Team News

Galtier has the majority of his squad to pick from, although Presnel Kimpembe will miss the trip to the Middle East after the centre-back sustained a hamstring injury against Brest on the weekend.

The only other noticeable absentee will be Renato Sanches, who is suffering from an adductor problem.

New signing Fabian Ruiz could come into the side from the start for the first time, to provide either Vitinha or Marco Veratti with a well earned rest.
