SRH vs RCB: Blog | ScorecardSRH skipper David Warner:
"I can't remember the last time I was out like that. There's four things that happened in this game that I have never seen before. A lot of courage for Mitchell to go out there and try. It doesn't look great for him, can't put any weight on his leg. Hopefully it isn't too bad, it was quite painful for him, so fingers crossed. We had the run chase in control and we knew that we had to go after their bowlers in the end. Probably the last over of Chahal was the turning point out there. We have to go back to the drawing board; we obviously can't fix what happened today but we have to go back and work hard before our next game in Abu Dhabi. There are talking points but the guys know what they have to do. Exciting times for Indian cricket and I can't wait to see what the young players produce." It's all over! RCB beat SRH by 10 runs
Virat Kohli-led RCB began their campaign on a winning note as they defeated SRH by 10 runs in their opening encounter in Dubai. Defending 164, RCB bowlers took wickets at regular intervals, especially in the second half of the SRH run chase, and finally bowled out their opponents for 153 in 19.4 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of RCB bowlers as he returned figures of 3 for 18 in 4 overs. Chahal was ably supported by Shivam Dube (2-15) and Navdeep Saini (2-25).

4 singles and a wicket for Shivam Dube in the penultimate over. Dube returned figures of 2 for 15 in 3 overs. 18.2 overs: OUT! Shivam Dube removes Mitchell Marsh (0). SRH 143/9

BOWLED! Good stuff from Saini. RCB are on the top at the moment, but the target is not far for SRH either. The game is in balance in Dubai. 17 overs: OUT! Abhishek Sharma run out for 7. SRH 135/6, need 29 off 18 balls
A big mix-up in the middle and the two SRH batsmen collided head-on while stealing a second run. Abhishek Sharma is run-out, and Rashid Khan has to take medical attention in the middle. Chaos among the SRH middle-order batsmen due to quick wickets. 16.3 overs: OUT! Shivam Dube gets rid of Priyam Garg (12). SRH 129/5
While trying to scoop the ball over the keeper, young Garg deflected it into his stumps. Pressure got the better of the batsman. 16 overs: SRH 127/4, need 37 off 24 balls

Brilliant start from Shivam Dube, conceded just 5 runs in it including 2 leg byes. 12 overs: OUT! Yuzvendra Chahal removes Manish Pandey (34). SRH 89/2
Big Wicket! Brilliant stuff from Chahal. RCB lost a review going for caught behind against Pandey, but the batsman gave away his wicket in the very next ball, hitting straight to Navdeep Saini at long-off. 11 overs: 83/1
Good comeback over from Navdeep Saini and an unlucky one too. Jonny Bairstow, on 40, was dropped by Aaron Finch at extra cover. It was hit hard by Bairstow and went straight to Finch at around chest height but somehow the Aussie failed to grab it. 10 overs: SRH 78/1, need 86 off 60 balls

Manish Pandey (7*) hit a four as Dale Steyn gave away 7 runs in it. 2 overs: SRH 18/1
What a dramatic second over, bowled by Umesh Yadav. India pacer bowled two wides after first ball dot, and then Jonny Baistow (10*) smacked a four and a six in successive balls before the unfortunate run-out of Warner. 1.4 overs: OUT! David Warner run out for 6. SRH 18/1
UNLUCKY! Warner smiled as he walked off. Jonny Bairstow hit it hard and straight back to bowler Umesh Yadav, who failed to take the catch but the ball hit the wickets at non-striker's end after deflection. And Warner was outside his crease. Lucky breakthrough for the RCB. 1 over: SRH 6/0
David Warner (6*) opened his account with a four through extra-cover, but Dale Steyn tightened his bowling and conceded just 6 runs in the first over. Welcome back! David Warner and Jonny Bairstow to start the SRH run chase. Dale Steyn with the ball for RCB. Devdutt Padikkal:
"It was pretty difficult to bat on. We have a good total now. Looking forward to defending. It was great to get the half century out of the way. It was the first game and I wanted to start off well. I am happy to have done that. So happy to be training with Kohli. I was just eating his ears trying to pick up as much as possible. He said who you face doesn't matter as long as you have confidence in yourself. I enjoyed batting with Finch. I was comfortable from the word go batting alongside him. It's going to be a tough target to chase down." Fifties from young debutant Devdutt Padikkal (56) and veteran AB de Villiers (51) took RCB to 163/5 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by SRH skipper David Warner. Padikkal added 90 runs for the opening wicket with Aaron Finch (29) as they dominated the first half of the innings. But SRH bowlers made a good comeback to keep RCB from going full throttle in the final overs. 20 overs: RCB 163/5

Big wicket! RCB batsmen were looking to change gears in the middle and Natarajan put the brake by sending their skipper back to the pavilion. Kohli missed the slow cutter and hit it straight to Rashid Khan at cow corner. Kohli fell after scoring just 14 off 13 balls.
15.3 overs: FOUR!
