With 17 runs needed off the last six balls, Axar Patel hit three sixes to seal the game in DC’s favour. Earlier, CSK won the toss and opted to bat first. A half-century from Faf du Plessis (58) followed by a 50-run fifth-wicket stand between Ambati Rayudu (45*) and Ravindra Jadeja (33*) helped CSK putting 179/4 on the board. For DC, Anrich Nortje (2/44) picked up two wickets while Tushar Deshpande (1/39) and Kagiso Rabad (1/33) claimed a wicket apiece. CSK pacer Deepak Chahar returned with the figures of 2/18 in four overs. With this victory, Delhi Capitals has regained the top spot as they now have 14 points in their kitty.
