Canada immigration authority denies any change to visa validity

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is today refuting reports that changes have been made to Canada’s visa policies in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At least one local media house published a report that Canada had suspended all existing visas except diplomatic visas.
Around 2:40 pm on Saturday, IRCC posted the following to its official Twitter account, denying that claim:
There is some misinformation circulating about the Government of Canada’s response to the evolving #COVID19 situation, including false messaging about changes to Canadian visa validity. For official info about Canada’s COVID-19 response, please see: https://t.co/0h8OfvNUh7
