Villarreal may have been held to a draw by newly promoted Huesca on the opening weekend of the season but they can get back to winning ways against Eibar.

Much is expected of the Yellow Submarine this term after they achieved an impressive fifth-placed finish in La Liga in 2019-20 and added the likes of Dani Parejo and Francis Coquelin to their ranks in the summer.

And even though they shared the spoils with Huesca, they still won the shot count 15-10 and amassed 66 per cent possession at the Estadio de la Ceramica, and with ace marksman Gerard Moreno in their ranks, they should get the better of Eibar this time around.

Villarreal ran out 4-0 winners when the sides clashed in the final league game of last season.

Villarreal have won four of their last six home games against Eibar in La Liga. Over 2.5 goals featured in 20 of Eibar’s La Liga matches last term. Villarreal’s league matches averaged 2.95 goals per game last season.

Getafe vs OsasunaColisuim Alfonso Perez, GetafeSaturday, 19-09-2020 @7:30pm

Only against Athletic (11) have Getafe drawn more LaLiga games than they have against Osasuna. That tally has been boosted in recent years, with three of the last four meetings between them at this ground finishing level. Last season both clashes finished 0-0, while our predictions suggests there’s good reason to expect the same again.

Getafe have failed to win their opening La Liga game in each of their last nine seasons in the top-flight, failing to score in the last four. On top of that, Getafe failed to score in five of their final six games last season.

Getafe have won just one of their last eight La Liga games against Osasuna (D5 L2), 2-1 at Coliseum in September 2013. They have failed to score in five of those matches, including each of the last three. Last season Getafe draw 12 games, while Osasuna drew 13.

Three of Osasuna’s last four trips to Getafe have been drawn. The two meetings between these two last season finished 0-0. Getafe haven’t scored in any of their last four La Liga openers.

Celta Vigo vs Valencia Estadio Abanca-Balaidos, VigoSaturday, 19-09-2020 @10pm

Valencia went temporarily top of La Liga with their 4-2 win over rivals Levante on the opening weekend of the season but struggled last season, largely due to their inability to kill off games.

The Bats drew 11 league fixtures last campaign, causing them to finish well out of the European places in ninth in the standings, and they could be held by Vigo, who themselves drew 0-0 with Eibar last time out.

Vigo saw 16 draws last campaign and only survived the drop by a single point but they were by no means the worst defensive unit in the division, conceding 49 goals in 38 league games, fewer than Valencia and as many as fifth-placed Villarreal.

Both teams score in 19 of Celta Vigo’s matches last season. Four of Celta Vigo’s last six Primera Liga games have featured under 2.5 goals. These sides drew 27 league matches between them last season.
