Sonia Bompastor's side host Championship opposition in a cup competition for the second time in the space of ten days, having beaten Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup, when we play a first match in the League Cup this term.
After reaching the final of last season's competition, where Arsenal prevailed with a 1-0 win, the Blues will look to go one better this campaign. But, first up is Durham at Kingsmeadow tomorrow evening where a win would present a semi-final encounter against the winner of West Ham v Tottenham Hotspur at home next month.

We host Championship side Durham at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday 22 January, with kick-off scheduled for 6.45pm.

The form
The Blues host Durham with an 18-game unbeaten run behind them, with all but one of those matches ending in a win. Our most recent victory came on Sunday in the Women's Super League, where we sit at the top of the table, when Bompastor's side defeated away at West Ham United 5-0.
Durham sit fifth in the Championship with 19 points after 11 games. They were beaten 2-1 by Charlton Athletic in their last league match ahead of visiting Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening.
Recent head-to-head
It has been more than five years since Chelsea last faced Durham. That clash occurred in March 2019 at the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup.
It proved to be a hard-fought win for the Blues, with a bit of brilliant skill from Ji So-yun proving the difference as the former Blue netted the match-winning goal in the 29th minute at New Ferens Park.
